As an extension to counseling classes during February and March, upper elementary students researched famous Americans from pilots to politicians, journalists to judges, and actors to athletes. They created posters and wrote short stories about their person. Over the last two weeks they gave speeches in front of all 3rd-6th Grade students during lunch. They did a great job!

As an extension to counseling classes for younger elementary during February and March, students listened to stories about famous Americans such as Ruby Bridges and Claudette Colvin. Students worked together to act out the stories and imagine what it would have been like to be the people going to school, riding a bus, buying shoes, etc.
