It's that time of year again! Support FBLA and FFA as they raise funds to contribute to Briley's Heart Cart! Order forms and money are due Friday, 11/20 and donuts will be delivered on Tuesday, 11/24. 🍩
HS Science came to life with some creative, hands-on learning! Anatomy students studied fractures using carrots and modeled bone structure with Swiss rolls and candy. Biology students explored cell organelles through “speed dating,” then used microscopes to observe different types of cells. Food Science students used molecule manipulatives to explore free and bound water and how water interacts with other molecules in food. From sweet models to microscopic discoveries, students found new ways to make sense of science!

October was a fun month in Preschool. We enjoyed our trip to the pumpkin patch and had a fun filled Halloween day.

LOCATION: Platte Ridge Park - 17130 MO HWY 371 Platte City, MO. 64079
SPECTATOR PARKING: Parking in the lot near the football fields, upper lot west of the baseball fields, by the pond, and by the soccer fields. Please do not park on the road or on the grass.
ADMISSION: $6 for fans 6 and over. Tickets will be CASH ONLY.

Red Ribbon Week during elementary counseling classes this year not only had a variety of hands-on activities to show how drugs/alcohol impact the body but also information about how Red Ribbon Week started back in the 1980s. While the activities were fun, an important take away was how even though the students thought they could control the reaction, it was really difficult. The best option is to never start.
The Nodaway County Cattlemen's Association donated all of the hamburger patties used for fall sports at West Nodaway again this year! We are so thankful for their generous donation!
