Students in 8th grade science have been talking about the theory of evolution and the evidence scientist use to support the theory. One way is through embryos. Students analyzed different stages of embryo growth of six different vertebrates. They got to see how closely related the vertebrates compare to each other.

For 6th grade geography, Autumn created a presentation and invited her family members from Ireland to teach the class about Irish culture. They had the opportunity to try Irish chocolate and play their version of Irish football!

In counseling class today, Preschool and Kindergarten made posters to show their gratefulness for the school nurse and elementary secretary. Both these ladies give out hugs, bandaids, and ice packs. The littles are so appreciative!

Congratulations to these girls for their performance at District Speaking Contest. Patience Smith placed second in the Sheep Producers topic and is the alternate to state. Jaylee Wynn placed first in the Missouri Teach Ag topic and advances to the State Competition in December!

The gymnasium was busy this morning with our A+ mentors. We had basketball games at both ends, some soft toss/batting, and a couple playing tag. Other students enjoyed breakfast together and played board games.
