Picture day is here again! Scholastic will be at West Nodaway on Friday for K-12th grade casual pictures, as well as MS/HS spring sports and activities.

Lathrop Ag Contest bus will leave at 6 am on Monday from HS parking lot. Dress for the weather and bring a lunch!

Every class took part in How I Became A Pirate readers' theater this week during our reading rotation stations. Then we did a "read my shirt" treasure hunt looking for words and letters.





We've had such a fun week celebrating books and reading at the elementary! From Drop Everything and Read to doing pirate readers' theaters and showing off what we are reading, how great!!

1st & 3rd grades drew leprechauns which are now guarding their pot of gold. This will be on display at Goff's Grocery during March.

February was Career and Technology Education Month. To celebrate, Northwest Technical School asked each teacher to nominate a Student of the Month. Jay Drake from Building Trades picked Gabe Goff. He said, "Gabe is a first-year student from West Nodaway. He is always in class and on task. He is very particular on every job he is doing, to make sure it is right." Gabe was gifted a $10.00 Casey's gift card to congratulate him! Great job, Gabe!



Fifth grade pirate crew— we arrrgh readers!


We had a flyswatter game in Spanish 2 today! They had to run to the correct words that were spoken and the first to put their foot or hand on it gained a point! It was a fun competition!
