Cold Lunches and Microwave Usage In an effort to keep student lunch boxes separated, all cold lunches will remain in the student’s classroom this year since there will be limited access to refrigerator space. Please, place some type of re-freezable ice block in your child’s lunch box this will keep their lunches cold until their lunch shift. One other important item to note is that if your child wants something hot in their lunch it will need to be heated at home and put in a thermos. The new cafeteria safety procedures won’t allow the time needed for the use of a microwave to warm up lunches. Thank you so much for your patience and consideration to all of the safety procedures.
