Cold Lunches and Microwave Usage
In an effort to keep student lunch boxes separated, all cold lunches will remain in the student’s classroom this year since there will be limited access to refrigerator space. Please, place some type of re-freezable ice block in your child’s lunch box this will keep their lunches cold until their lunch shift. One other important item to note is that if your child wants something hot in their lunch it will need to be heated at home and put in a thermos. The new cafeteria safety procedures won’t allow the time needed for the use of a microwave to warm up lunches. Thank you so much for your patience and consideration to all of the safety procedures.

Reminder: Tomorrow is PK-12th grade registration day from 1:00-6:00 PM in the commons area. Please enter the south doors. Social distancing guidelines will be in place to help ensure the safety of all in attendance. We look forward to seeing you!
To help ensure the safety of our school community, we are kindly asking that attendance at PK-12th grade registration and 6th-12th grade open house be kept to a minimum, if at all possible. For example: One parent picking up registration packets for the entire family at registration, or just students and one parent attending open house. Fall sport JH practice begin on Monday Aug. 17th. The practice schedules go as follows.
JH/HS Cheer at North Nodaway all week. Practice Monday and Tuesday 11:00-12:00 pm, Wed-Sat 4:00-5:00 pm. Vans leaves at 10:15 on Monday and Tuesday. Vans leave at 3:15 on Wednesday- Sat for JH and HS girls.
JH/HS Football at North Nodaway. Bus leaves at 3:15. Practice 4:00-6:00 pm
JH/HS volleyball 8:00-10:00 am
JH/HS Cross country 7:00-8:30 am
Mark your calendars for the next FFA sponsored Blood Drive September 14th, 2-7pm, at the Burlington Junction American Legion building! Blood donations are critical and each donor receives a shirt.
Juniors and seniors attending Northwest Technical School in the fall are expected to attend class at West Nodaway on the first day of school, August 27th. Classes at NTS will begin on Friday, August 28th.
Middle and High School Open House Night will be held on Tuesday, August 25th from 4:00-6:00 PM. Students are welcome to drop off locker supplies, or pop in and visit their new teachers! If you have any questions, please contact the high school office at (660) 725-3317.
