Food Science students are comparing difference methods of washing hands, work space and utensils, and determining which method is best.

Fake germs were placed on the students hands and they had to wash at different temperatures and abrasiveness to see which method was best.
Students used lettuce to analyze the spread of germs.
Under a black light bacteria can be detected. After hand proper sanitation this lettuce still contained minimum bacteria.
