Second grade worked on sorting animals today. They had to use their reading skills and some teamwork to put the animals into groups based on their traits.
Character Student of the month treated to lunch on Mr. Conn. They chose Pagliai’s. Spaghetti and Oreo Fluff!
You may have heard that the Nodaway County Commission has funded five-book limited-use library cards for youth in Nodaway County, birth through high school! The cards are good for one year from when you fill out the form. After you click on the link below and complete the short form, a card will be created for your child, and it will be ready for them at the front desk of the Maryville Public Library.

4th graders have been working on phonemes and how to break apart each sound within a word. We use a different color to represent a “tile” for each sound. Red tiles represent a vowel in each word. We have also been working on closed and open syllables.

Friday September 30th is Homecoming. Elementary classes will be walking to the Parade and Pep Rally on main street. Students will remain with their class the entire time and will not be dismissed from the Pep Rally. All students will return to the school following the pep rally and finish the day. We will have normal dismissal at the end of the school day. If you have any questions please reach out to the elementary office.
