3rd grade worked in groups to come up with 26 nouns and 26 verbs from A-Z. They had some creative answers!
In Social Studies, 5th grade teams brought the Bill of Rights to life by creating skits and scripts to act out what their assigned amendments meant to them. We had some very creative ideas!
4th grade learned about 9/11 today and discussed what makes a hero!
This week our elementary counseling lessons focused on the character word of the month, self-control. PK-2nd grade students did a variety of activities with balloons to see how well we could control our actions, words, and emotions. 3rd-6th grade students discussed a variety of scenarios that might be difficult to maintain self-control and then they worked in teams to sort out phrases we should say and phrases we should just think. We then considered ways to approach our "think" side with kinder words or changing topics.
2nd grade finished up reading The Fishermen and his Wife. We decided to watch a short video to wrap up the lesson.
