6th grade had a family breakfast to end the school year. Loved having these kids and can't wait to see what they accomplish in the future!

Preschool through 2nd Grade students finished their year in counseling class by telling us what they want to do this summer. Students drew a picture and then presented to their class. From t-ball to swimming to vacations, these students have great plans for the next few months!

We closed out elementary counseling classes with a teamwork activity and presentations for 3rd through 6th grade. Each class was divided into groups and had to brainstorm ways to solve a "global issue" and then create a machine prototype out of cardboard, pipe cleaners, balloons, tape, etc. Students did a great job thinking about the world beyond our area and figuring out how to help others. From cleaning the ocean to housing the homeless to feeding the hungry, there were multiple good ideas and lots of creativity on how to solve the problem. Their public speaking skills and confidence have greatly improved this year!

Have a wonderful summer vacation! See you in August! 😎☂

With the help of some of our 1st Grade students, West Nodaway R-1 wishes everyone a "super" summer break!

Sixth grade turned in all of their library books and got to celebrate with an ice cream party!

Monday was "move-up" day for 6th Grade to help them prepare for next school year. They attended classes with the 7th Grade students, navigated the hallways between bells, and ate lunch during the junior high shift.

Our final three students! I can't believe tomorrow is our last day!
