3rd Grade students spent this month in counseling class learning to set goals, establish a plan, and overcome obstacles. To finish the unit, they did a great job performing skits for their classmates.

Our second College and Career Monday trip involved five seniors who traveled to Milford, NE to visit Southeast Community College and toured a variety of programs including diesel mechanics and John Deere. They stopped at AgriVision in Hamburg on the way out and CAT in Lincoln on the way back and discovered how those companies sponsor students to help them obtain their certifications.

JH Thunder Basketball is headed to Rock Port tonight beginning at 5:30pm.

1st Grade students have had questions off and on all year about Mrs. Clayton and her health journey. Today we read the book "Good Luck, Mrs. K!" in counseling class and then decided to make Mrs. Clayton a new hat! Students worked in groups and did a fabulous job creating a hat out of construction paper, paper plates, or paper sacks.

4th Grade used their teamwork skills in counseling class to brainstorm a goal or target for this year, an obstacle that might get in the way, and a 3-step plan to overcome that roadblock. Each group then acted out their plan to achieve the goal.
