Baccalaureate Service

To the Parents of the Graduating Class of 2016
:

As you know, it has been a tradition for many years that the West Nodaway Ministerial Alliance hosts a Baccalaureate Service for each graduating class. This year is no exception. We would like to personally extend an invitation to you, your senior, and your family. It will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2016, at the First Christian Church in Burlington Junction at 7:00 PM. There will be a reception to follow and all seniors, their family, and their friends are encouraged to stay for fellowship. All seniors are asked to be at the church no later than 6:45 PM so the procession may be arranged. Although attending this service is optional, we sincerely hope that you and your family will be able to attend.

Sincerely,

The West Nodaway Ministerial Alliance

Missouri State Highway Patrol Partnering with Area Schools

Dear Parents,

We want to take this opportunity to inform you of a new initiative that was presented to us by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.  They are partnering with all area schools, including West Nodaway, and other schools across the state. The goal of the program is to unite school administrators, staff, and students with local law enforcement. This partnership will increase the visibility of law enforcement in Missouri schools.

Highway Patrol officers will periodically be seen here at West Nodaway walking the halls, eating lunch with our students, and have even offered to present programs about general safety and state laws as time permits during school hours.  Through this program, the officers will build and foster positive relationships with students and become familiar with our school buildings.

This partnership will also help to familiarize the officers with the school staff and the layout of our campus in case of an emergency. West Nodaway welcomes the presence of our local state troopers, and view this as an opportunity to enhance the safety of our existing school safety plan.

We wanted to make you all aware of the program so you would not be alarmed should you be at school and see one or more Missouri Highway Patrol troopers in the building.

We are excited to be included in this program.  If you have any questions, please contact the school office.

Sincerely,

West Nodaway Administrative Team

Mr. Shannon Nolte
Mrs. Holly Brady
Mr. Roger Johnson
Mr. Scott Neth
Mrs. Lori Snead
