Your bus driver will make contact with you regarding alternate pickup/drop off locations and times. If contact is not made, call Jim at the bus barn (725-3316) between 6:00am-8:00am or 2:00pm-4:30pm. At any other time, please call the elementary office (725-4126) or the high school office (725-3317). Any day that your student is not riding the bus, on these alternate route days, or any day, please contact the bus barn (725-3316). Santa Claus is coming to town! He will be visiting the Burlington Junction Community Center on Saturday, December 14th. The Junior Auxiliary girls will be serving pancakes for a free will donation from 8:00-10:00 AM, and Santa may even arrive early to enjoy some with the children! Then from 9:00-10:00 AM, children are invited to sit on Santa's lap. Don't forget your camera for pictures!

In December, TEAM students will be making fleece tie blankets for the Noyes Home in St. Joseph. Donations of fleece material in any size dimensions are needed.These can be dropped off at the elementary or HS building. Please help our students with this service learning project.

The West Nodaway 2019-2020 volleyball team will be hosting a "Block Out Cancer" tournament on Friday, November 8th at 7:00 PM for all middle and high school students. The cost is $5.00 per student, and students must have a team of six players. NHS will be hosting a bake sale that night as well. All proceeds will benefit Diane Riddle, grandmother of one of our West Nodaway volleyball players. We hope to see you there!

Middle School students are invited to our annual Haunted Hallway and scary movie tomorrow tonight. Haunted Hallway tours will begin at 6:30 PM, and a showing of Escape Room will begin at 7:30 PM. There will be activities for students who do not want to watch the movie. Please do not arrive before 6:30 PM. The entry fee is $5, and it includes pizza, snacks, and drinks. Happy Halloween!

School picture retake day will be Tuesday, November 26th. If you student has not taken a picture for the 2019-2020 yearbook yet, they will also be getting their picture taken. If you would like for your child to retake their school pictures, all photos in the package must be returned. If it is a mistake on the photographer's end, pictures will be free. However, if it is a personal choice by the parent or student (messy hair, didn't like shirt, etc.), there will be a $5.00 retake charge.

Fifth grade used the scientific inquiry process in Project Lead the Way class to design & perform experiments to determine the effectiveness of different types of soaps, amounts of soap, or temperature of water when washing hands.
