At the Specially called Board meeting Monday, November 16th, the Board voted 5-2 to implement a mask mandate for all staff and students in the West Nodaway R-I school district. Please see the attached document in regard to this mandate. Please read the document carefully, and if you have any questions, call the office and we will address your concerns.
This mandate goes into effect Wednesday, November 18th and will be in place subject to review until March 1st, 2021. As indicated in the attached document this mandate is for all students PK-12th grade, as well as all staff. Exceptions will only be made with a doctor’s note. If your student does not have a mask, they may stop by the elementary or high school office and we will provide a mask.
Additionally, the Board voted to put in place a mask mandate for all ball games/extra-curricular activities. This means in order to be admitted to a West Nodaway event you will need to wear a mask or be denied entry. Likewise, if you come to the building, please buzz the outside door and someone will come to meet you at the door. Should you need to come into the building for any reason during the day, you will need to be masked.
