Beginning on Monday, March 16th, the food service staff will be offering some variations to the serving line.
A small salad bar will be set up on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of each week. This will consist of lettuce, a few vegetables, cheese, and fruits. This will be available for grades 4th-12th who choose to have it as an alternative to the main course.
We will continue to have a large salad bar each Thursday for 6th-12th grade students only.
No salads on Friday.
An alternative entre' item will be offered for K-12th. If a student doesn't want the planned main course for that day, they can pick an alternative entre' (an example alternative would be a hamburger). That alternative entre' will be specified by the food service staff, and it can be found under the "Dining" section of our website.
Grades K-12th will be allowed to buy a $.50 second serving (additional entre'). K-5 will sign up for their seconds when the morning lunch count is done. They will have to take it when they come through the line.
A seconds basket will be available from PK-5th grades. Only one item can be left on their tray, including milk.
A seconds basket will be available to 6th-12th grades for $.25 per item.
Please have conversations with your students about how to manage this in regards to future lunch bills. The alternative entre' item or small salad bar will not cost any extra, but the $.50 second serving will be charged to ANY student account. The seconds basket items are complimentary (up to one item) for PK-5th grade students, but will cost $.25 for multiple items from that basket.
Please contact the office with any questions. Thank you!
